Facilitated Leadership Reflection and Development

You haven't had time to think. Not properly.
Not about what matters.
Leadership Reflection Mornings give you the time and space you need.
What Happens at a Reflection Morning
Leadership Reflection Mornings are formally structured leadership development sessions — four hours of facilitated, individual and small-group reflection designed to strengthen your thinking, sharpen your decision-making, and develop your leadership practice.
Not a workshop. Not a training day. A thinking space — focused, facilitated, and kept deliberately small.
You won't be put on the spot. You'll be given time and space to think clearly about what you are carrying.
Every participant receives a Certificate of Attendance documenting four hours of structured leadership development,
suitable for recording toward CPD requirements with most professional bodies.
Who This Is For
You're not looking for answers handed to you.
You're looking for space to find them yourself.
-
You carry real responsibility but rarely get time to stop and think
-
You're sitting with decisions that don't have easy answers
-
Something is shifting — you can feel it, but haven't had time to work out what
-
You want to think more clearly, not consume more content

Upcoming Leadership Reflection Mornings
Places are intentionally limited.
How It Works
Most people begin by joining a
Leadership Reflection Morning.
These gatherings create dedicated time to reflect carefully on the pressures and decisions you are carrying.
Step 1
Join a Leadership Reflection Morning
This is where most people begin.
During the morning, you will:
-
Step back from daily demands
-
Notice what is shifting
-
Reflect on current pressures
-
Begin to name what matters most
These gatherings are intentionally small to allow deep reflection, conversation, and thoughtful consideration.
Step 2
Action Session
Some people choose to continue the work through a one-on-one Action Session.
These sessions create focused space to clarify direction, commit to meaningful action, and take responsibility for what comes next.
During an Action Session, you may:
-
Explore important decisions
-
Clarify direction
-
Work through complexity
-
Commit to meaningful action
-
Establish accountability for follow-through
Not everyone needs ongoing support, but it is available when needed.
Step 3
Return When Needed
Many people return to Reflection Mornings throughout the year.
Not because something is broken,
but because responsibility requires regular time to reflect.
Reflection Mornings run throughout the year, each with a different quarterly theme - creating a natural rhythm of noticing, clarifying, committing, and reviewing.
Returning creates rhythm.
And rhythm creates clarity.
Individuals
I work with people who can sense that something is changing in their work or creative life,
even if they’re not sure what to call it yet.
You’re not in crisis.
Things might still be going well.
But what once fit doesn’t quite anymore.
This can feel like:
-
restlessness or loss of momentum
-
uncertainty about what comes next
-
a sense that it’s time for something different, but unclear what
Flea Factory is a space to slow down, take stock, and make sense of where you are.
Together, we name what’s shifting, notice patterns, and work out what deserves your attention next — so you can move forward with confidence, in a way that actually fits you.
Teams & Organisations
I work with teams and organisations who can feel change in the air — before there’s agreement on what it means or what to do about it.
Your organisation isn’t broken.
Performance may still be strong.
But the conditions that supported the current way of working are starting to shift.
This often shows up as:
-
tension between strategy and day-to-day reality
-
slower decisions or competing priorities
-
uncertainty about what to protect, change, or let go of
Flea Factory creates space for teams to pause and look clearly at what’s really happening.
The work is about building shared understanding, testing assumptions, and making grounded decisions — so the next steps are thoughtful, aligned, and realistic.
Personal Clarity Coaching
When something is shifting but you can’t quite name it, coaching helps you slow down, tune in, and make sense of what’s emerging.
Explore your wiring, your season, and your passions. Uncover the inner nudge calling you toward the next curve.
Curve Jumping
When the old way of working has reached maturity and its natural plateau, this space helps you explore what the next curve could be, while you’re still in the middle of the current one.
For small businesses, teams, and organisations, we work together to shape early experiments, low-risk prototypes, and thoughtful decisions that help you move toward the new without abandoning what still matters.
Portfolio Life & Work Design
Your life isn’t one-dimensional - your work shouldn’t be either.
Build a portfolio of roles, projects, and income streams that reflect your real season and your real strengths - not the old script you’re ready to move past.

Clarity That Cuts Through the Noise
Most people come to Flea Factory because something is shifting but they can’t quite name it.
Our work together will help you slow down, tune in, and articulate what’s emerging with honesty and confidence.
Experience That Meets You Where You Are
With years of lived leadership, creativity, and curve-jumping behind me, I bring grounded insight
- not formulas.
You get someone who understands transition from the inside out.
Momentum You Can Feel
Coaching at Flea Factory turns ideas into small, actionable, meaningful experiments.
The result? Forward movement that feels natural, energising, and aligned with your new season.
Meet Richard
I’m Richard — coach, creative, and someone who understands the early signs of change long before the language for it arrives.
I work with individuals and teams who need clarity, honest conversation, and a grounded path forward.
My approach is practical, down-to-earth, and shaped by many years of leadership, coaching, facilitation, and guiding people into what's next.

Meet Richard Sharp
I've led teams, founded organisations, and carried real responsibility - and I've spent years alongside others doing the same across organisations, churches, schools, and community settings, often through seasons of change, decision, and transition.
I know how easy it is to keep moving without ever getting the space to think clearly about what you're carrying. I've seen it in others, and I've experienced it myself.
That's what shapes this work.
I believe leadership requires regular space to think - not just react. Not more information, more meetings, or more advice. Just time and space to step back, see clearly, and work out what actually matters.
I don't rush people toward answers. I create the conditions where good thinking can happen.
You don't need to have it all figured out before you come. You just need to be willing to stop and think.
That's why I founded Flea Factory and created Leadership Reflection Mornings - something I wished had existed when I needed it most.
Inspired by Charles Handy
Handy is one of the most influential management thinkers of the last half-century - a philosopher of work, organisations, and the way people navigate change.
He wrote about elephants and fleas - the large, slow-moving institutions and the agile, independent people navigating alongside them. Most organisations are elephants. Most of the people leading them are fleas, whether they've named it yet or not.
He also wrote about the sigmoid curve — the idea that everything follows a pattern of growth, peak, and decline. The leaders who navigate it well don't wait for the decline to act. They start thinking about the next curve while they're still on the current one.
Flea Factory is built on both ideas. It's a space for leaders to think clearly about their curve — and to do something about it before the moment passes.

Why Flea Factory?
Flea Factory is built on a simple idea: most individuals and organisations sense the need for change long before they have language for it. Something shifts, the old way stops fitting, and the next step isn’t yet clear.
Inspired by Charles Handy’s 'the elephant and the flea', Flea Factory makes room for the agile, inventive part of you — or your team — that’s ready to explore what’s next, without needing to overhaul everything at once.
The work focuses on:
-
understanding where you are on your current curve
-
noticing the signals and possibilities beginning to emerge
-
taking small, practical steps toward a new way forward
It’s not about fixing what’s wrong.
It’s about seeing clearly enough to choose wisely.
