When Clarity Needs Time and Space

I’m realising that most of the pressure I feel in my life hasn’t come from one big decision, but from a thousand small ones. Saying ‘Yes’ to things I don’t actually love or value, forced decisions, more responsibilities, more noise, more hurry, without really noticing the accumulated cost.

Over time, all those things build up, they form into what I call ‘my life’, and everything starts to feel heavy. Now I’m on autopilot. I start to say things like, This is my life. It is what it is. And then one day I wake up, and years have passed by, and I feel like I’ve been a passenger.

I don’t want my life to be like that. I want to actively participate in my own life, to make choices, feel connected, present, be creative, and invest in things that fit who I am, who I want to be, and what I value. But this has to be a choice. A search for clarity.

For me, this has meant admitting that I can’t think my way forward at speed. Clarity doesn’t appear through my busyness; it gets buried by it. If I want to see what’s actually forming, or what’s next, I have to intentionally slow down and make room to listen.

That’s what Flea Factory is becoming for me again. A place to pause, pay attention, and choose differently. And I hope it becomes that for you, too.

May our quest continue.

What is the next decision, choice, or step you need to make in your personal, family or work life?

How are you going to make time and space for the clarity you need to choose?
